Position Description. This opportunity will be mostly remote but will require occasional travel to our Rockville office. Our ideal candidate must be a seasoned proposal manager with government proposal experience and demonstrated ability to assist in the identification of opportunities, manage all aspects of proposal preparation, develop bid strategy, lead strategy meetings, and coordinate color team reviews. In addition to proven experience, our ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-For identified opportunities lead proposal meetings, development of win themes, management of schedules, action/issue tracking, compliance oversight, writing instructions, team guidance and coordination, and production oversight.
-Assign, review, and manage tasks of writers and graphic designers on the proposal development team.
-Write, review, and organize all technical written materials including key sections, tables, exhibits, and attachments, providing graphic/layout assistance to help ensure that a quality deliverable is produced.
-Create a repository of reusable templates for future bids.
-Proof, standardize, and edit proposal sections written by others on the proposal team.
-Assist with the creation of corporate collateral materials, presentations, capability statements, responses to Sources Sought and RFIs, etc.
-Five plus years of federal government proposal management experience, Shipley, or similar training.
-Experience in health and human services is highly desirable.
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
-Ability to multi-task, prioritize requests, and set expectations.
-Excellent work ethic.
-Ability to work independently and take ownership of the proposal.
Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree and five to 10 years of relevant experience.
