Job Title:    Security Project Manager                                     Hours:  Full Time

Reports to:  Vice President                                                                 

Function: This role is responsible for managing the development through final implementation of security technology installations. Responsible for overseeing all phases of the security project life cycle.  This is an autonomous position where self-direction and time management are of utmost importance.  This position will need to anticipate issues, mitigate those issues, and work with our clients and installation partners to ensure that each project is moving forward, on schedule and within budget. This role requires timely follow up in all phases as well as an ability to prioritize a large volume of work. The position reports directly to the Customer Relationship Manager with  dotted line relationships to related functions.  


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead project design and crafting project proposals following profit adherence guidelines.
  • Provide inputs and receive status utilizing established Project Management tool.
  • On those projects directly assigned, handle every aspect from proposal, permitting, material ordering requests, vendor selection, scheduling through the final inspections and close out processes. All steps/tasks are to be handled in an efficient and fiscally responsible manner
  • Assist in finding and in obtaining competitive quotes from installation partners.
  • Coordinate all installation activities in this regard, i.e., coordinating site access, communicating a clearly defined scope, providing drawings, answering questions, etc.
  • Coordinate and provide direction for accounting to ensure timely client invoicing.
  • Assist in CAD/IPVM drawings across all platforms.
  • On-call or after-hours work, when necessary.
  • Handle projects and/or special assignments assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and abilities required:

·       BS degree or equivalent experience with 1-2 years construction industry experience/project management or equivalent experience of 5 or more years construction industry experience/project management.

·       Knowledgeable Project Management software tools.

·       Self-starter, strong communication and inter-personal skills

·       Detailed oriented/organizational skills mandatory

·       Strong written and oral communication skills necessary to deal effectively with a diverse group of contacts/situations. Must have ability to think quickly, cost effectively and objectively to ensure internal controls are met.

·       Must have extensive knowledge of computer systems and experience working on various platforms. This should include knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks.

·       Must possess strong attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
