We are currently hiring for a full time Operations Manager to lead our FedEx driver team in Manitowoc, WI! The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of package pickup and delivery services within a singular FedEx Ground terminal for Ryvil Logistics.
The Manager needs to have a strong daily presence at the FedEx Ground terminal and build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with drivers and FedEx employees.
The right candidate will be adaptable, calm under pressure, and have excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. This role requires the ability to lead a team of up to 12 drivers covering up to 10 routes daily. Candidates must be able to consistently perform routine administrative tasks to comply with the needs of business regarding driver scheduling, route planning, vehicle maintenance, compliance, payroll, and other reporting.
**This is not a typical Monday-Friday, 9AM – 5PM position. The job will sometimes require long days and/or periodic Saturday work, but it will also be flexible with your schedule when circumstances allow.
MUST have previous transportation management experience to be considered for this position.
Minimum Requirements:
-You will need to go through a background/MVR check Must be able to pass a drug test and dot physical
– Prior management experience is a must.
– One year of driving experience over the last 3 years or five year’s experience over the last ten years- Clean motor vehicle record
– Must be over 21 and have No felonies/violent misdemeanors or drug-related misdemeanors in the last ten years

Daily Responsibilities:
-Responsible for ensuring all daily P&D routes are staffed, trucks are operational, and the routes are generating sufficient revenue
-Responsible for route planning (DRO) and efficiency
-Responsible for recording and reporting timesheets for payroll and other administrative tasks
-Develop and maintain a relationship with a reputable and affordable vendor to perform maintenance and repairs
-Coordinate and schedule maintenance and repairs on equipment at regular intervals to avoid unnecessary breakdowns
-Responsible for the training of every new driver to ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations
-Responsible for ensuring driver is compliant with daily duties regarding paperwork, Hours of Service compliant, Pre-Trip/Post-Trip Inspections
-Owns the training program and creates a culture of safety and ensuring each driver is up to date on all monthly safety training
-Coordinates with FedEx ground staff in order to execute a plan that minimizes the profitability of the company
-Responsible for ensuring we are providing quality service to FedEx Ground with available drivers and operable equipment to pick up and deliver packages
-Responsible for performance management of all drivers assigned to terminal/location
-Physically willing, ready, and able to drive a P-1000 sized vehicle and safely pick up and deliver packages to both residential and commercial recipients in the event of lead driver being out or any other unforeseen circumstances
-Excellent contingency planner
-Establishing relationships with part-time drivers as well as other FedEx contractors in the building to help one another out in times of need
