LEAD PUMP INSTALLER

Third generation Milwaukee, WI industrial/commercial pump maintenance firm is looking for an experienced lead pump installer. You will Lead 2 to 3 employees in the process of removing and installing: VHS turbines, submersibles, booster pumps and well rehabilitation. This location primarily serves a 75-mile radius of the greater Milwaukee area and rarely will you be required to stay out of town. Class A CDL w/ hazmat endorsement is required, and we can assist with this achievement. WI pump installer license is preferred and will assist in achieving this credential. Team environment is crucial, and it is very important to bring a positive empowering attitude to the team. You will be required to lead by example and embrace teaching your skill set to assistant pump installers. With the right attitude and demeanor, position can lead to management.

Expectations

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively
  • Ability to work year-round in all types of weather conditions
  • Ability and willingness to travel daily as required.  Limited overnight travel will be required.
  • A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record
  • Drug free
  • Maintain Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement
  • Maintain WDNR Pump Installer license
  • Occasional availability to work weekends and/or respond to emergencies (typically less than 5 days per year)

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of field staff on installation of vertical turbine and submersible well and booster pumps
  • Use sound technical judgement to make decisions on project sites.  Consult project manager as necessary to allow project manager to make final decision and consult client as necessary
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain details records including daily timesheets, pump worksheets, installation records, safety records, and vehicle inspections
  • Operate CTW pump hoists in a safe, proper manner
  • Conduct chemical treatment of wells
  • Clearly communicate observations and concerns to senior staff to assist with evaluation and troubleshooting
  • Act as safety professional on jobsite and ensure that all employees on the jobsite are complying with CTW policies/procedures
  • Maintain company vehicles in safe, functional condition.  Complete regular inspections of vehicle onboard equipment and managers of any required maintenance work
  • Communicate with project team
  • Comply with all policies and procedures
  • Act as a positive role model to other staff at all times
  • Represent CTW in a professional manner

Compensation

  • Based on experience and attitude, expect $24 to $32 per hour
  • Average work week is 45 to 52 hours, includes overtime pay

ASSISTANT PUMP INSTALLER

  • Assist Lead with maintenance and installation of vertical turbine, submersible well and booster pumps
  • Load/unload company vehicles in preparation for work
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain details records including daily timesheets, pump worksheets, installation records, safety records, and vehicle inspections
  • Perform general water system maintenance activities such as valve exercising and hydrant flushing
  • Conduct water quality sampling and testing and preventative maintenance inspections
  • Work independently and with others to troubleshoot problems and develop/implement solutions
  • Assist in any other assigned tasks in support of the CTW team
  • Communicate with project team
  • Represent CTW in a professional manner

Compensation

  • Based on experience and attitude, expect $18 to $24 per hour
  • Average work week is 40 to 50 hours to include overtime pay
