We are looking for an Entry to Mid Level Instrumentation Technician to join our growing US Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing analytical service and repairs on water monitoring instrumentation as well as support for other team members and customers around the country. A strong background and/or training in applied sciences are desired to be a successful candidate in this technician role. A “hands on” technician that is able to support the service needs of our customers is what we are looking for.
Summary
Main duties include providing support via email and telephone for customers, regional sales managers (RSM’s) and distributors to enable them to clearly understand Swan products and the chemical, physical and microbiological characteristics of liquids and their reactions to reagents. Must be a team player, work in conjunction with RSM’s, function as a trainer, lead technical person/coordinator to meet project guidelines. Position will include calibration, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation. Travel to assist customers and members of our USA sales team is required – Approx. 40% travel anticipated.
Skills
Must possess the required mechanical skills, experience, and abilities to provide support for Swan products installed in different industries such as power plants, drinking and waste water plants, pharmaceutical and food & beverage.
Must possess the required mental and physical skills to troubleshoot problems at customer sites through email, phone, and/or on-site visits. Must be able to troubleshoot through manuals, discussion and critical thinking.
Advanced knowledge of the theory and application of organic, inorganic, analytical and physical chemistry and instrumental analysis highly desired.
Proven ability to use teamwork and skills to meet all goals and objectives of both the support team as well as Swan USA.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Must use sound independent judgment and personal initiatives.
Ability to create, interpret, and analyze and troubleshoot data and equipment based on generally accepted scientific methods.
Ability to prioritize and complete critical tasks.
Desired Experience
Knowledge of water steam cycles, power plant operation, drinking water treatment, waste water treatment, and make up water treatment is strongly desired.
