Heavy Duty Mechanic
Description
We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to assist with preventative maintenance and repairs of diesel equipment in the field. You will travel to various job sites to make electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs on equipment such as excavators, loaders, scrapers and more.You need a valid driver’s license to travel to job sites
General Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on Caterpillar and John Deere equipment.
- Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs as well as preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues with diesel engines
- Determine what parts and tools are necessary to make repairs
- Complete shop paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
- At least 3 years experience.
- Have a valid Driver License or Commercial Drivers License.
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Welding experience (a plus)
