Stinson LLP is seeking an associate attorney, to be engaged on a full-time or reduced hour basis, with two to five years of experience to join the Energy, Environmental, Mining & Transportation Division in our Washington, D.C. office.
Qualifications Required: The candidate must have two to five years of regulatory litigation and/or transactional experience in the energy industry.
We welcome candidates with experience from a regional, national, or local law firm or regulatory agency. Excellent writing, oral advocacy skills, and academics are required. Clerkship and energy administrative and/or civil litigation experience are a plus. The successful candidate should have the following experience and skills:
- Significant responsibility for drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs is required, though these responsibilities in energy matters is preferred;
- Proficiency handling e-discovery and fact development;
- The confidence to tackle complex factual, legal, and procedural issues with foresight; and
- The ability to be strategic and analytical.
