The Veterans Legal Clinic at the Joseph F. Rice School of Law, University of South Carolina, counsels and represents South Carolina veterans and their families in appealing denials of VA benefits, including disability compensation, pension, dependency and indemnity compensation, GI Bill benefits, healthcare access, character of discharge determinations, and overpayments. Limited family law and other civil matters may be accepted depending on capacity. All services are free of charge to qualifying clients, with representation provided by supervised law students under the guidance of a VA-accredited Clinical Director. The clinic operates year-round.
