Description
The Veterans Law Project is a statewide unit of Legal Aid of North Carolina that provides civil legal services to homeless Veterans and Veterans at risk for homelessness (including those couch surfing, facing eviction, or with unstable housing). Services include VA Disability Compensation, Discharge Upgrades, Military Records Corrections, Criminal Record Expunctions, Driver’s License Restoration, Public Benefits Appeals, Consumer Matters, Mortgage Foreclosures, and Housing issues. Goal is to help low-income Veterans overcome legal barriers to self-sufficiency. Access by applying online via JusticeHub or calling the Helpline at 1-866-219-LANC (5262).
