The Co-Director is responsible for implementing the execution of the VBOC Cooperative Agreement in Minnesota and Illinois. The Co-Director will develop vision & strategy, direct & monitor related programming and manage the budget. They will coordinate and conduct Boots to Business/Reboot events throughout the service area, counsel and support individual clients, build partnerships, and develop and maintain close working relationships with organizations and universities serving veterans. The position will also work with WWBIC to develop and launch innovative initiatives and training to service the veteran and military-connected family populations.
The position requires a bachelor’s degree and related experience and the ability to travel extensively within IL, MN, and some nationally. Preference is for Co-Director to reside in IL or MN. Significant experience administering veteran entrepreneurship programs, experience in higher education administration, government or other public sector organizations, and previous business ownership experience is preferred. Valid driver’s license & proof of insurance is required.
